Work experience
Prior to founding Ashina Law Firm, Mr. Juraboev had worked for 21 years and held managerial positions in large companies in Uzbekistan such as the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, Agrover group of companies and the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and also worked as a chief lawyer in international companies such as POSCO Engineering & Construction Ltd (South Korea), Indorama Kokand Textile (Singapore), Uz-Kor Gas Chemical, UNDP legal projects in Uzbekistan, American Door & Window LLC (USA), participated in the development of the laws “On Arbitration Courts” and “On International Commercial Arbitration” and in the creation of arbitration courts at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Arbitration Development Center in Uzbekistan. Moreover, Shavkat has been involved in projects with over $6.0 billion in foreign direct investment from the UAE, UK, CIS, India, South Korea, Singapore, Switzerland, Denmark, China, USA and Germany.

Advising an American company specializing in the implementation of effective mechanisms by automating the processes of identifying and obtaining data on violations of legal requirements when passing international voice traffic on telecommunications networks, on the creation of a joint venture with the regulator;
Advising a leading Italian company on the drafting and negotiation of an agreement for the supply of products (equipment) with a local company to produce modern measuring systems in the Uztransgaz system;
Advising a Chinese company to open a business in Uzbekistan and build large real estate in Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva and Tashkent;
Advising a Korean company on opening a new subsidiary in Uzbekistan for the construction of a hotel complex and accompanying the company during the construction period;
Advising an Uzbek company in the implementation of projects to open retail parks in Uzbekistan, a potato processing plant, a plant chemicals production plant and establishing a cluster approach in growing agriculture products;

Advising a company from Singapore on the construction of a factory for the production of high-quality cotton yarn in the city of Kokand, Fergana region;
Legal support and preparation of documents for the construction project of a gas chemical complex worth more than $4 billion, of which $2.5 billion is financed by foreign creditors on the terms of project financing. The project received the 2012 Project Finance Award from Thomson Reuters, European Oil and Gas Deal of the Year;
Advising and supporting 3 EPC contracts for a South Korean company for the construction of a concrete road on the A380 highway in Uzbekistan.
